Boxing Day Sliders
Make the most of your festive leftovers with these easy Boxing Day sliders. They’re simple, satisfying, and ideal for those relaxed post-Christmas moments.
Ingredients
- 2 x 6-pack dinner rolls (connected if possible)
- 3 tbsp cranberry jam
- 200 g sliced ham
- 200 g cooked turkey, shredded or sliced
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- Cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary leaves
- 2 tbsp caramelised onion jam
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (fan-forced) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Slice the rolls horizontally (keeping them connected) to create a top and bottom layer.
- Spread cranberry jam across the entire bottom half of the rolls.
- Layer on ham, turkey, grated cheddar, and mozzarella slices.
- Sprinkle with cracked pepper and rosemary leaves.
- Spread caramelised onion jam across the inside of the top half of the rolls, then place it on top to close the sliders.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter with parsley and a pinch of salt. Brush over the tops of the rolls.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes, until the cheese is gooey and everything’s warmed through.
- Remove from the oven, pull apart, and serve immediately.
