How are you feeling?
It’s okay to not feel okay.
We are all experiencing a range of feelings in these uncertain times. There are simple things we can do to make us feel better, have more control, and not let negative thoughts take over our days. Remember, we are going to get through this!

How to deal with negative feelings
Here are some coping strategies the Better Health Channel recommend to help you deal with negative feelings.
1. ACCEPT YOUR FEELINGS
It’s okay to not feel okay. In fact, it’s completely normal. Sometimes writing down how you’re feeling can help.
2. LET THEM GO
Try not to go over and over them again as this is when they can be blown out of proportion. See if you can let them float away like a cloud!
3. FIND WAYS TO RELAX AND MAKE YOURSELF FEEL BETTER
Do things that are uplifting, will keep you centred and keep your mind focused on something more positive.

Some advice from us: Don’t be too hard on yourself, always be kind to yourself!
If you’re struggling and need support, head to Beyond Blue. They can help you with whatever it is you may be feeling during these uncertain times and offer you 24/7 advice and support over the phone.
What can I do to help me feel better?
Here are 10 simple things you can do at home that will help you relax and keep you in a happier headspace:

1. MEDITATE
Do a 10 minute meditation or some breathing exercises – try the Insight Timer App
2. GET UP AND MOVE YOUR BODY
Go for a walk, do some exercise or do some stretches.
3. WRITE DOWN WHAT YOU’RE GRATEFUL FOR
No matter how big or small, think of what you are thankful for.
4. WRITE DOWN THREE THINGS YOU LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF
Write them down on a post it note and stick it on your mirror.

5. RECONNECT WITH SOMEONE
Call a friend or family member you haven’t spoken to in a while.
6. CALL FAMILY OR A FRIEND
Call someone close to you for a comforting chat.
7. READ SOMETHING ENJOYABLE
Take a break from the news and social media and find a good book.

8. MAKE A HEALTHY RECIPE
Try a new recipe, it will keep you occupied as well as give you a sense of achievement.
9. CLEAN SOMETHING OUT
It’s incredible how decluttered your mind feels from decluttering a cupboard or room in your house!
10. ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING SMALL
Ticking a chore off the list will make you feel productive which will give you a sense of accomplishment.
You are doing just great!
