Beauty & Health

Taking care of you skin is essential and prevention is key. Start building good habits in your 20s and 30s, and your future skin will thank you!
Feeling overwhelmed by the number of products available? Don’t worry, we have a basic skincare routine for your 20s and 30s that will have you on your way to complexion perfection.

Skincare in your 20's: The Basics

An estimated 90% of visible skin ageing is caused by the sun, so daily sunscreen is a non-negotiable. Dealing with adult acne? We’ve got a solution for that, too.

Your ideal facial cleaners will depend on your skin type however, as a general rule you want to find a product that is simple and won’t strip skin of its natural oils. Try the soap-free Ego QV Face Foaming Cleanser – it’s tough on impurities and gentle on skin.
Cleansing your face at night is particularly important in order to remove makeup and dirt. Feel free to use the same cleanser you used first thing in the morning and remember - never sleep with your makeup on!

Face Moisturisers

Quench your skin’s thirst with a hit of hydration with a lightweight moisturiser. Again, you’ll want a product suited to your specific skin type, but the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is a great one to try. It contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin and impart a healthy-looking, radiant glow.
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF generously to any exposed skin as the last step of your skincare routine – and don’t forget your ears! We love the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Fluid Sunscreen SPF50; and for an SPF with a hint of tint, try the Ego SunSense Daily Face SPF50.

Night-time Treatments

You don’t need to use too many serums in your 20s, but they can be beneficial when you’re dealing with specific skin concerns.
A great option is The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Serum infused with the highest concentration of amino-peptide complex, proven to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles, plus plumping hyaluronic acid and soothing niacinamide.
If you struggle with adult acne, incorporating a retinol treatment is a great option, not only does this ingredient help with anti-ageing, it also helps to unclog pores, clear pimples and fade marks. Try a retinol-infused sheet mask or face serum 1-2 times a week, remember it is key to wear sunscreen during the day, as retinol may increase sun sensitivity. We love the Skin Republic Retinol Hydrogel Face Mask.

Skincare in your 30's: The Basics

Throughout your 30s, cell turnover begins to slow and the rate of collagen and elastin production decreases. You may start to notice the early signs of ageing, such as dark spots and crow’s feet. To preserve your youthful glow, look at incorporating more potent anti-ageing and skin-restoring ingredients into your skincare routine.

Face Cleansers

You will want to continue to thoroughly cleanse your skin every AM and PM. The Sukin Rosehip Nourishing Cream Cleanser works to remove makeup, oil and dirt on the skin, while keeping skin moist with shea butter, evening primrose oil and camelia oil.
Another great addition to your routine is a mild exfoliant, use this a few times a week to help remove dead skin cells and promote a healthy glow. Try the gentle, yet effective Olay ProX By Olay Anti-Ageing Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser.

Serums and Moisturisers

Vitamin C is always a winner, helping to protect skin from pollution and UVA/UVB rays. The Revolution Skincare 3% Vitamin C Serum does all that and more, boosting your glow and encouraging a smooth skin texture.
Follow with an antioxidant-enriched moisturiser, like the Jojoba Company 100% Natural Ultimate Youth Potion, and don’t forget to finish with your SPF.

Evening Treatments

It’s time to step up your anti-ageing game with a retinol serum. If it is your first time using retinol, start by applying it twice a week, gradually building to every second night so your skin can build up a tolerance. We love the high potency Nip+Fab Retinol Fix Booster Extreme.
Finish with a nourishing moisturiser, like the Sukin Rosehip Enriching Night Cream.

Eye Cream

The skin around the eye area is delicate and prone to more visible signs of ageing, so go for a product filled with active anti-ageing ingredients. The L’O’real Paris Revitalift Filler [HA] Intensive Replumping Eye Cream contains hyaluronic acid to fill wrinkles and plump eye contours.
