Supporting Kent Road Primary School

Macquarie Centre management are proud to support the Kent Road Primary School reading program.

Easter Hat Parade

The students of Kent Road Primary School demonstrated their fantastic craft skills with their home-made hats on Wednesday 19 March.

The Easter Hat Parade commenced in Centre Court at 10am on where the children performed a variety of songs. They then proceeded to walk around the centre to the Loft wearing their Easter hats.

We would like to thank the students for visiting Macquarie Centre!

World's Greatest Shave

On Friday 14 March, Macquarie Centre hosted the World's Greatest Shave in Centre Court. During the two hour event , our volunteer hairdressers from Hair Traders, Price Attack, John Brennan Hair, Just Cuts and Hair Euphoria assisted hundreds of brave customers to shave, color and spike their hair. Through many generous donations, Macquarie Centre made $732.40 to give to the Leukaemia Foundation.

Thank you to everyone who got involved and showed their support! It made for a great event!

Starlight Children's Foundation

Thank you for your Support!

Macquarie Centre would like to thank everybody who helped us raise money for the 2007 Starlight Children's Foundation Christmas campaign! We had a fantastic success with raising over $50,000 that will be used for making Christmas wishes come true for many sick children.

Our total amount raised was $52,595 including all of your generous donations and purchases. This will help Starlight grant more than 10 Christmas wishes.

The Granny Smith Festival

On Saturday 20 October 2007, a group of centre management employees volunteered their time to assist at the Granny Smith Festival in Eastwood. By giving out balloons and novelty Macquarie Centre apple stress balls, we got into the spirit of the annual celebration.

We also managed to raise $412.85 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation by handing out our Macquarie Centre drink bottles and Enviro bags for a gold coin donation. This money will be added to the total contribution Macquarie Centre will make to the Starlight Children’s Foundation for 2007. A huge thank you to all those that contributed and to the staff that volunteered their time!
